The 355 Berlinetta was introduced in May 1994 as the first of a successful series of F355 models. The F355 was the latest in the series of central engine Ferrari’s with the Flying Buttress rear window, a lineage that dates back to the 1966 Dino 206 GT.

The emphasis on designing the F355 was based on significantly improving performance, as well as In driving across a wider range of speeds and in different environments, such as low speed urban traffic.
